Test any changes to your configuration.yamlThe configuration.yaml file is the main configuration file for Home Assistant. It lists the integrations to be loaded and their specific configurations. In some cases, the configuration needs to be edited manually directly in the configuration.yaml file. Most integrations can be configured in the UI.[Learn more] file before launching Home Assistant. This script allows you to test changes without the need to restart Home Assistant.

hass --script check_config

The script has further options like checking configuration files which are not located in the default directory or showing your secrets for debugging.

$ hass --script check_config -h
