Homevolt

The Homevolt integrationIntegrations connect and integrate Home Assistant with your devices, services, and more. [Learn more] lets Home Assistant read local data from your Homevolt battery over your network, no cloud required.

Configuration

To add the Homevolt device to your Home Assistant instance, use this My button:

Homevolt can be auto-discovered by Home Assistant. If an instance was found, it will be shown as Discovered. You can then set it up right away.

Manual configuration steps

If it wasn’t discovered automatically, don’t worry! You can set up a manual integration entry:

  • Browse to your Home Assistant instance.

  • Go to Settings > Devices & services.

  • In the bottom right corner, select the Add Integration button.

  • From the list, select Homevolt.

  • Follow the instructions on screen to complete the setup.

API access must be explicitly enabled on the Homevolt device; contact Tibber Customer Support to activate the API. Configuration needs the device IP address and, if set on the device, a password.

Host

The IP address or hostname of your Homevolt device. You can find it in your router or via the device’s discovery.

Password

The password for your Homevolt device, if it is password protected. Leave empty if no password is set.

Sensors

The integrationIntegrations connect and integrate Home Assistant with your devices, services, and more. [Learn more] creates sensors reported by the device, including:

  • Power (W) and energy (Wh/kWh)
  • Voltage (V) and current (A)
  • Temperature (°C) and frequency (Hz)
  • Battery/percentage (%)
  • Signal strength (dB)
  • Text, count, or schedule status values

Swtiches

The integrationIntegrations connect and integrate Home Assistant with your devices, services, and more. [Learn more] creates switches reported by the device, including:

  • Local mode, enable or disable loacal control mode

Troubleshooting

  • Failed to connect: confirm the IP address, device is powered, and reachable on your network.
  • Invalid authentication: verify the device password or remove it if none is set.

Removing the integration

To remove an integration instance from Home Assistant

  1. Go to Settings > Devices & services and select the integration card.
  2. From the list of devices, select the integration instance you want to remove.
  3. Next to the entry, select the three dots menu. Then, select Delete.
