Honeywell String Lights
The Honeywell String Lights integrationIntegrations connect and integrate Home Assistant with your devices, services, and more. [Learn more] lets you control a Honeywell radio frequency (RF) remote-controlled string light set from Home Assistant.
Prerequisites
This integration requires a radio frequency remote adapter (proxy) that is already set up in Home Assistant and provides a radio frequency entityAn entity represents a sensor, actor, or function in Home Assistant. Entities are used to monitor physical properties or to control other entities. An entity is usually part of a device or a service. [Learn more]. To find integrations that provide radio frequency entities, browse the Radio Frequency category.
The transmitter must support 433.92 MHz OOK transmissions. For example, you can use an ESPHome device with an OOK transmitter.
Configuration
To add the Honeywell String Lights device to your Home Assistant instance, use this My button:
Manual configuration steps
If the above My button doesn’t work, you can also perform the following steps manually:
-
Browse to your Home Assistant instance.
-
In the bottom right corner, select the
Add Integration button. -
From the list, select Honeywell String Lights.
-
Follow the instructions on screen to complete the setup.
Assumed state
Because RF transmission is a one-way broadcast, Home Assistant cannot confirm whether the lights actually turned on or off. The integration therefore uses the assumed state pattern: the state is the last state Home Assistant set, and it is restored across restarts.
